Behavioral Health Overview
Our Behavioral Health professionals act as parallel support systems for individuals with behavioral/learning needs. We work with Paraprofessionals, Personal Care Assistants, Behavioral Specialist Consultants, ABA Therapists, Behavior Analysts, Mental Health Program Specialists, Therapeutic Support Staff and 1:1 Aides throughout the nation.
Our objective is to help them find positions that allow them to work alongside special education teachers, BCBA’s, psychologists and related therapists to increase the quality of care for those they are serving. With behavioral health professionals’ support, individuals can receive the attention and care that they deserve.
Behavioral Health Professionals specialize in the following:
- Performing therapeutic interventions.
- Maintaining attention and interest during activities and lessons.
- Facilitating Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Facilitating Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
- Implementing behavioral, mental, and emotional modification techniques.
- Completing case notes to document individual’s progression.
- Building trusting and supportive relationships.

This is a school-based position at a day program that services about 70-75 special education students with behavioral and emotional challenges. This would be a year round position with approximately 4 weeks off in the Summer. They have a daily schedule of 8:00am-3:15pm. The DSP will be responsible for monitoring the youth's whereabouts, assisting with daily life skills, and administering medications. The DSP should also be trained in crisis de-escalation. The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 5pm-9pm and weekends from 1pm-9pm.
