A school is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for a 4th and 5th grade Emotional Disturbance classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will begin on August 18, 2026 for staff orientation/training, with students starting on August 24, and is expected to continue through the second week of November to cover a maternity leave. Depending on staffing needs, there may be an opportunity to remain with the school through the end of the school year, potentially in a different classroom assignment.

Qualifications:

• Pennsylvania Special Education Certification preferred
• Pennsylvania General Education Certification accepted
• Candidates without an active PA teaching certification may still be considered, but must apply for a Temporary Private School Certificate
• Must have current, up-to-date clearances
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • PA Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 24, Act 168
• Must have a recent TB test/Physical

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and classroom management in a structured emotional support setting
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with classroom support staff and school team members
• Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
