School-Based Physical Therapist PT – Tucson (RF: 3225)
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a part-time, school-based position working with students in the Tucson, AZ area. The Physical Therapist is needed for about 8 hours, 1 day/week. Eligible candidates must have a current AZ Physical Therapist License and a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Arizona
- Must have a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Preference is given for those with experience working in academic settings
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and monitors IEPs for all students eligible for physical therapy services
- Develops, implements and coordinates a physical therapy program, including philosophy, vision, departmental procedures and goals
- Provides direct service to students as indicated on specific IEP’s
- Evaluates students using appropriately conveyed information with parents and school teams
- Interprets assessment findings and appropriately conveys information to parents and school terms
- Consults with school staff, parents and agencies regarding student needs, progress, and instructional modifications
- Maintains student services, administrative and other department records in accordance with the Arizona Physical Therapy Practice Act as well as school district, State and Federal policies
- Evaluates and reports on student progress
- Communicates and consults with school staff, parents, administrators, physicians, community and other professionals effectively both orally and in written form
- Participates in professional growth activities
- Establishes and maintains good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors
- Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
