We are currently seeking Behavior Support Specialists for full-time positions working with school students in the Malvern, PA area. The Behavior Support Specialists will provide behavior management support and carry out specific interventions that are developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Eligible candidates must hold a Registered Behavior Technician certification or be RBT eligible and have up-to-date PA Clearances.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Registered Behavior Technician Certification or be RBT eligible
• A Bachelor’s degree in a human service field is preferred, but not required
• At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred
• Must have up-to-date PA clearances (from within one year)
  • FBI Fingerprints
  • PA State Police Clearance
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • Physical and TB Test from within a year
  • Act 24
  • Act 168s
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and technology skills
• Must be adaptable to changing workload, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and available to work a flexible work schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide behavior management support to individuals in a school setting
• Carry out specific interventions that are developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Transfer skills to individuals’ natural support in the least restrictive environment
• Assist the Educational Administrator by deploying direct care staff strategically throughout the facility
• Support teachers in managing student behaviors
• Serve as an exemplar to direct care staff and ensures efficient communication between the school, residential program, and/or school district representatives
