We’re hiring Paraprofessionals to provide academic and behavioral support for early intervention-aged students with special needs throughout the Philadelphia area. Many opportunities are available in the 19154 zip code. Paraprofessionals will support students with IEPs in classroom or daycare settings while working alongside certified staff.
Schedule: Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities Available
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current PA Clearances required (within 1 year):
- FBI Fingerprints
- PA Criminal Background Clearance
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training required
- Daily access to a reliable laptop or tablet for required service documentation
- Ability to complete service logs within 24 hours of each work day
- Completion of 20 hours of professional development annually
- Experience working with individuals with special needs preferred
What You’ll Do
- Support implementation of IEP goals and accommodations
- Provide 1:1 and small-group academic, social, and behavioral support
- Assist students with behavior strategies and positive behavior supports
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Collect and document student progress and behavior data
- Complete daily service notes and required documentation
- Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and school staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, trainings, and professional development
