We’re hiring a Food Service Specialist to prepare and serve meals, support daily food service operations, and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy dining environment.

Location: Homestead, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Start: Immediate

Pay: Starting at $16.00/hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• County Board of Health Certification required
• At least 1 year of food preparation experience
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and stakeholders
• Must meet all applicable health and safety requirements

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve meals, including special diets and food for special events
• Assist with coordinating daily food service activities
• Follow USDA, Bureau of Child Nutrition, and other regulatory requirements
• Maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and sanitation
• Clean and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, serving lines, storage areas, and dining spaces
• Support food service operations with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement
• Implement corrective actions and best practices when needed
• Help maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff
• Support compliance with nutritional guidelines and food service regulations

Preferred

• School cafeteria or school lunch program experience
• Experience with special diets and large-scale food preparation
• Comfortable occasionally driving a company vehicle or van
