Personal Care Assistant PCA – Philadelphia (RF: 3255)
We’re hiring Full-Time Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support for a student with autism.
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, school hours, approximately 35 hours/week
Start: Immediate
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00/hour (based on experience)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits required
- Experience working with children with autism required
- Experience supporting individuals with special needs and aggressive behaviors preferred
- Current PA Clearances (within 1 year):
- FBI Fingerprints
- PA Criminal Background Clearance
- PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Current TB Test & Physical
What You’ll Do
- Provide 1:1 academic and behavioral support
- Assist students with daily routines and schedules
- Implement behavioral interventions and support strategies
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior
- Communicate with teachers regarding student needs and development
- Participate in planning meetings and contribute to student goals
- Collect data and support learning activities
- Assist with classroom instruction under teacher direction
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
