We are currently seeking Paraprofessionals for full-time positions working with school students in Norristown, PA. Eligible candidates must have at least a High School Diploma and 6 months of experience working with K-12 students in a classroom setting. The pay will be $18.00-$21.00/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least a High School Diploma (an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or a related field is a plus!)
• Must have 6 months experience working with K-12 students in a classroom setting
• CDA credential or 6 credits in ECE, preferred
• Must have up-to-date PA Clearances
• Must have CPR/First Aid

Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in planning, designing and implementing curriculum
• Supervise and control students during class and when the lead teacher is not present
• Assist students with carrying out classroom activities
• Observe students for developmental issues and communicate findings to lead teachers
• Assist students in social skills development
• Maintain appropriate classroom discipline and decorum
• Ensure that students retain information by repeating information constantly and practicing patience
• General duties to help with activities and assemblies
