School Psychologist – Coatesville (RF: 2809)
We are currently seeking a certified School Psychologist for a full-time position working with students in the Coatesville, PA area. The position will start in August and continue through the school year. The position will be Monday-Friday during school hours. Candidates must have their Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification and up-to-date PA Clearances from within a year.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified School Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania
- Must have PA clearances from within one year
- FBI Fingerprints, PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse
- Previous experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Administer diagnostic assessments to students based on identified and/or suspected areas of need
- Lead feedback meetings with parents/guardians to communicate results of the formal evaluation/reevaluation process
- Serve as a consultant to the Instructional Support Team to provide pre-referral intervention strategies.
- Provide direct individual and group counseling services to students who are experiencing academic and/or social-emotional difficulties
- Collaborate/consult with individual teachers regarding learning or behavioral difficulties about students.
- Assist the general education and/or special education teacher in establishing behavioral management programs and/or classroom modifications to accommodate the learning needs of their students
- Consult with parents/guardians of students who have been formally evaluated, about educational or behavioral strategies that can be utilized at home and at school at assist the child to reach his/her full potential
- Other responsibilities related to the position as assigned by the Director of Pupil Services
