We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse RN for full-time position in the Royersford, PA area. This is a school-based position working one on one with a student with special needs. The daily schedule will be Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The nurse will meet the student at their home in the Collegeville area to ride the bus with the student, accompany them throughout the school day, and then ride the bus with the student home. The Eligible candidates must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania and current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid. Candidates must also have up-to-date PA clearances. Candidates with Trach and G-Tube experience are preferred.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse RN in the state of Pennsylvania
• Must have a current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid
• Must have up-to-date clearances
  • FBI Fingerprints, PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse
• 1-1 Trach Care Certified
• G-Tube Feed Experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform, administer, and provide 1:1 nursing care on the bus and in the classroom
• Suctioning and tracheotomy care
• Feeding and medication by G-tube
• Administer medication and treatments according to state law
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all school and health-related issues
• Maintain knowledge of all health care related policies and procedures
• Work as a member of a team with health services staff to coordinate and carry out services
• Maintain communication with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, and parents/guardians
• Dispense prescribed medication when necessary
• Observe for possible health and safety hazards in the school and its environment
