We are currently seeking a certified Physical Therapist for a full-time position working with students in the Scottsdale, AZ area. This position would start ASAP and continue through the end of the school year. Interested candidates could return next year.  There are about 39 students on the caseload, although some services are quarterly/monthly. Eligible candidates must be a licensed PT in the state of Arizona and have a valid fingerprint clearance card.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Arizona
• Must have Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Must have a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities:

• Provides information to staff and parents regarding screening and evaluation results.
• Develops IEPs based on information obtained from evaluations.
• Implement educational based plans/goals and objectives using evidence-based research methods.
• Provides services using an integrated service delivery model, pull-out approach, and/or classroom consultation.
• Collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team in monitoring progress, planning programs, and resolving problems/issues.
• Consults with parents and staff regarding student’s progress and needs.
• Consults with parents, staff and provides home programs as needed to include assistive technology.
• Attends and participates in meetings including IEP planning, intake staffing, team meetings, parent conferences, etc.
• Maintains required logs, documents, records and schedules in accordance with District procedures.
• Locates, assesses and recommends equipment and/or equipment modifications as needed.
• Trains staff in use of appropriate lifting and body mechanics when working with students to prevent job-related injuries.
