Paraprofessional PCA | $23.00/hour – Exton (RF: 3077)
We are currently seeking Paraprofessionals for full-time positions (about 35 hours/week) working one-on-one with students with special needs in the Exton, PA area. The PCA will provide academic and behavioral support to their assigned student throughout the day. This position starts immediately and will likely continue into the next school year. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma, experience working with K-12 students in a classroom setting, and up-to-date PA clearances. This position will pay $23.00/hour.
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma
- Must have up-to-date PA clearances (from within one year)
- FBI Fingerprints, PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, Act 24, Act 168
- Must have valid in-person CPR/First Aid
- Must have experience working with K-12 students in a classroom setting
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have exceptional communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing students’ IEPs and support classroom routines
- Communicate with teachers and staff about students’ needs and progress
- Document student strengths, challenges, and achievements
- Follow behavior support plans and assist with classroom management
- Supervise and support students during various activities, including meals, recess, and field trips
- Help students in inclusive education settings by providing necessary modifications
- Assist with students’ daily living and personal care needs, including mobility support
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards
