Paraprofessional for ESY/Summer – Warminster (RF: 2318)

We are currently seeking Paraprofessionals for part-time positions in the Warminster, PA area. These are school-based positions working one on one with students with special needs during the Extended School Year program. The start date will be July 5th and the end date will be August 4th. The daily schedule will be Monday through Thursday from either 9am-11am, or 9am-1pm. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of post secondary study, and up-to-date PA clearances.

  • Must have up-to-date PA clearances
    • FBI Fingerprints, PA Child Abuse, PA State Police Criminal Background, Act 24
  • Must have Mandated Reporter Training
  • Must have a recent TB Test and Physical
  • Support of the educational program as directed and supervised by the regular and/or special education teacher
  • Assist regular and/or special education teacher to promote success with delivery of daily lessons and activities
  • Assist in delivery of IEP goals, SDI, behavior plan, health care plan if appropriate
    • These may include but are not limited to; student hygiene, referral to the School Nurse, behavior support plans, home-school communication, supervision during transition time
  • Assist individual students with independent study projects, makeup work, homework completion
  • Reinforce and provide practice for students in academic instruction developed by the regular and/or special education teacher
  • Assist with data collection of academic skills
  • Provide tutoring developed by the regular and/or special education teacher when necessary
  • Assist in the management of student behavior
  • Observation and data collection of behavior
  • Implementation of positive behavior supports as directed by the regular or special education teacher and/or behavior analyst
  • Assist in scoring student tests, checking student workbooks, homework and written exercises
  • Assist in production and processing of classroom materials and projects
  • Assist in monitoring students during filed trips, community based instruction, assemblies or testing situations
  • Monitor classroom, lunch periods, study periods and bus loading as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
