We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position working with high school students in the Aston, PA 19014 area. This position will begin immediately and continue through June 2025. Eligible candidates must be certified Special Education teachers in Pennsylvania and have up-to-date PA clearances. Candidates who are comfortable with high school Math are preferred.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Special Education Certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree (at minimum)
• Must have current, up-to-date clearances
  • FBI Fingerprints
  • PA Criminal Background
  • PA Child Abuse
  • Act 168, Act 24
  • Mandated Reporter Training

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
• Providing accommodations and modifications as needed to support student success
• Collaborating with other educators, parents, and outside service providers to design and deliver instruction that meets the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each student
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Participating in the evaluation and revision of IEPs as necessary
• Providing support and guidance to students with disabilities to help them achieve their goals
• Communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child’s progress and needs
