We are currently seeking a Special Educator for a part-time position working with students with special needs in the Bedford, NH area. This is a community-based position that will be 20 hours/week and is needed to cover a maternity leave starting immediately. The schedule will be Monday-Friday with daily hours between 11:00am and 4:00pm. We are also willing to consider a general education teacher or an RBT who has experience working with severely disabled students. Candidates must have reliable transportation and up-to-date background clearances.

Qualifications:

• Must be a certified Special Education or General Education Teacher
  • OR must be an RBT with experience working with severely disabled students
• Must have up-to-date background clearances

Responsibilities:

• Provides individualized educational support to students with disabilities within the community setting
• Assists students with developing life skills
• Promotes integration into everyday environments
• Collaborates with families and community agencies to achieve goals
• Assess needs, create individualized plans, deliver instruction in real-world settings
• Monitor progress to ensure students can access and participate in community activities effectively
