We are currently seeking ABA Personal Care Assistants (ABA-PCAs) for full-time positions working one-on-one with middle and high school students in the Shelbyville, IN area. The ABA-PCA position will start in early August and last the duration of the 2025-2026 school year. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a recent Criminal History Background Check.

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a recent Criminal History Background Check
• Previous experience working with individuals with special needs preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist students in understanding and managing complex behavioral challenges
• Reduce classroom disruptions
• Help identify and address underlying factors impacting academic performance
• Respond to and assist with student concerns when necessary
• Bridge gaps between behavioral challenges and learning potential
• Reduce long-term disciplinary actions
• Support students’ overall mental health and well-being
• Provide targeted coaching and strategies for managing classroom behavior
• Offer real-time, practical interventions for challenging classroom dynamics
• Build capacity for trauma-informed and responsive classroom management
• Develop comprehensive behavioral intervention strategies
• Provide expert consultation on complex student behavioral situations
• Support a data-driven approach to behavioral interventions
• Prevents escalation of behavioral issues
• Supports overall educational efficiency
