We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time position (about 14 hours/week) assisting a student with special needs throughout their school day. The nurse will meet the child at their house in the Exton area, accompany them on the bus to and from school, and provide one-on-one support throughout the school day. The school is located in the West Chester, PA area. The schedule will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am-2:30 pm. Eligible candidates must be an LPN or RN in the state of Pennsylvania and have up-to-date clearances.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Pennsylvania
• Up-to-date PA clearances
  • FBI Fingerprints
  • PA Criminal Background
  • PA Child Abuse

Responsibilities:

• The nurse will be responsible for meeting the parent/student at the student’s home and ride the bus to school
• Provide comprehensive medical assessment according to nursing practice standards
• Monitor and administer medication(s) and give treatment(s) if needed
• Respond to and assess emergency health needs of students
• Ensure the safety of the child
• Documentation of daily activity
• Ability to assist in case of an emergency
• Help coach staff as necessary
• Exhibit a compassionate and friendly demeanor
