Ann's consulting work has spanned a broad range of H.R issues, but has focused particularly on reward strategy and management. Before setting up Humanus at the end of 1998 Ann was a consultant with Towers Perrin for 13 years and a Principal (partner) for five. Ann has always enjoyed consulting with a wide range of voluntary, commercial and public sector clients. Working on her own or with Associates she particularly enjoys helping organisations navigate through the process of making changes, passionately believing that this is at least as important as the 'technical' solutions needed.

Complementing her consulting experience, Ann has also held several management roles, including joint responsibility for the U.K rewards practice at Towers Perrin; world-wide responsibility for developing software that supported job evaluation, pay structure design, competencies and full circle feedback; and European responsibility for developing a learning and development infrastructure for the Rewards practice, including the design and delivery of many training programmes.

Prior to consulting, Ann's career started in industrial relations in the then nationalised electricity industry, supporting various negotiating bodies. Ann then had a spell in the BBC's job evaluation unit. Since then she has worked in consulting except for a year in a combined policy/line H.R role at Sears, the U.K retailer.

B.A Hons in Philosophy and Politics, St Anne's College, Oxford University M.A in Manpower Studies at Thames Valley University Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management at Thames Valley University
