Many organisations are dissatisfied with their pay policies, performance review processes and HR polices. Why? Often because disconnected initiatives are introduced that do not appear to support the direction that the organisation is going in. Initiative 'overload' can set in, but the initiatives do not seem to make a difference. Thus HR policies and practices are seen as administrative (and often highly bureaucratic) processes that play no part in contributing to organisational success.

So how can Humanus help? We specialise in working with management and staff project teams to help develop approaches to people development and rewards that directly link the organisation's fundamental purpose or business and its people.

In practice this includes:

• Developing integrated reward approaches, focusing on the less tangible aspects of rewards as well as direct pay
• Developing performance review processes that emphasise continuous improvement
• Helping organisations to understand how others approach similar issues, but in the context of developing solutions that support their own needs rather than following fads or fashion
